Stores Assistant

ACS Aviation Ltd, a busy EASA Part-145 & Part-M Aircraft Maintenance Organisation require an Engineering Stores Assistant. This is a permanent position at our maintenance facility which is based at Perth Airport in Scotland.

The company is experiencing significant growth and therefore an opening exists for the right person to join a positive team that is looking at both current commitments and future growth. This opportunity provides a clean and positive working environment which primarily involves Base and Line support of our own fleet whilst also continuing our expansion through the support of our 3rd party customers.

Working within the aircraft maintenance stores department, you will assist with the daily operations of the business. This includes supporting the team of engineers and working with our logistics specialists working efficiently within deadlines. 

The duties of the Engineering Stores Assistant include, but aren't limited to: 

  • Distributing aircraft parts, consumables and tooling to the engineers. 
  • Manage component repairs and core exchanges. 
  • Controlling the inventory, including monitoring the shelf life of items and whether tooling is due for calibration.
  • Submit RFQ's and PO's to suppliers and OEM's. 
  • Ensuring that all dispatched items arrive safely to the correct location, paying attention to anything regarded as dangerous goods.
  • Creating and maintaining any documentation and files.
  • Confirming that storage and material handling conditions concord with regulation standards.
  • Contributing towards any operational improvements, whilst maintaining a tidy working environment. 
  • Develop proactive relationships with OEMs and 3rd party suppliers.

It is preferable that you have previous experience within a similar aviation stores role, with a good understanding of quality inspection and aerospace trace documentation. You will also need proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software. Previous experience working with Dangerous Goods is advantageous.
